Twelve Weeks of Wonderfulness!

Our family has grown so much these past 12 weeks.  Of course, we had precious Colton, so now we are a family of 5, but more than that we have blossomed and have all become much closer.  Matt's job provides their employees 3 months of paternity leave, so after much thought and prayer we decided to enjoy the benefit and invest in our family!  God has done big things during this time.  Matt and the boys have had a lot of quality time and several special "boys trips", our marriage has blossomed big time, and I have had an unlimited amount of time to snuggle Colton (and sleep in!!).  Overall, we are all much closer and have had plenty of time to adjust to our new normal.  We loved every bit of it!  Here are some photos of the last 12 weeks.....the best days of my life!

Well...Colton turns 12 weeks old tomorrow and that means Matt goes back to work.  Life will resume back to normal and more memories will be made.  I love the life God has given me and I love my sweet family.  Think of me tomorrow when I am drinking my coffee solo.

Oh What A Night!!

It is our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday, so we decided to go out and celebrate a few days early! We had not been out on a date in 3 months (which is pretty pathetic and odd for us, but we have been busy with Colton and most recently, the boys surgeries) so we were ready to hit the town.  First stop... my favorite store, Anthropologie.  Matt treated me to a little shopping and bought me a couple of tops.  It is rare that I get a chance to go shopping alone and even more rare to have my sweetie escort me.   What a treat!!

Next, we were off to a very special restaurant, Perry's Steakhouse.  My parent's introduced us to this fancy place and we were thrilled to enjoy the very quiet atmosphere.  We laughed a ton and probably weirded out our waiter just a little.  I am pretty sure we have been caged up way to long, so our super silly selves came out.  Yes, we referred to ourselves as "red necks", asked him if he had ever been to Roadhouse, because that is where we usually eat steaks, and Yes, he asked us if there were "dogs over here".  I am not quite sure why he asked that...maybe Matt was barking or possibly drooling over our amazing food.  It was awesome and SO much fun.  I was in good company!

Cheers!!  We were welcomed with a glass of champagne and rose petals on the table!

My Sweetie!!

6 years and still going strong!!

Delicious asparagus with crab meat on top.

One of the TWO desserts we ate. (Go big or go home!) No wonder we rolled out of the restaurant.

We celebrated, we laughed, we enjoyed one another....and most importantly we made some resolutions for the next year.  We want our marriage to thrive and we want to look back on our time together to be able to say that we've grown and fallen deeper in love.

We resolved:
1. To have at least one, intentional date a month (hopefully more!)
2. To humble ourselves, forgive and ask for forgiveness quickly.
3.  To...(If I told you, I would have to kill you.  *wink wink*)

Bring on many more years of love and happiness with the love of my life and my best friend!
